Welcome to Aysgarth and District Parish Council

Aysgarth is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of North Yorkshire

Aysgarth and District Parish Council, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, encompasses the villages of Aysgarth, Bishopdale, Newbiggin, Thoralby and Thornton Rust.

The chair of the parish council is Councillor John Dinsdale, with Councillor Robert Walker as deputy-chair.


The Aysgarth & District Parish Council is represented at a number of local committees, including the Aysgath Cemetery Joint Management Committee, Upper Dales Health Watch, Yorkshire Local Council Association, and the Upper Dales Area Partnership.
